Ten New Must Reads of August 2019

Happy August!

This has been such a busy time of year for me, busier than it’s ever been before I dare say. I moved recently, had surgery (am recovering and making good progress), changed schools that I work at and moved classrooms, got my classroom mostly set up, and am teaching a new subject! So like I said it’s been a crazy busy time for me, I do not think any other summer has been this busy in recent years. So finally sitting down and getting to write some reading reviews for all the things I have been reading and catch up with my blog is great! I am definitely looking forward to August and fall for all the coming new releases (and the fall weather)!

Book One: My Life As An Ice Cream Sandwich

26146374._SY475_I have not yet read this one but I recently learned I was going to be part of the blog tour for this book later in the month and I am super pumped to be included! I love Ibi Zoboi’s books and I have a review of Pride on my review page. I also read American Street which is my favorite of her books but I do not think I have a review posted for this one (I think I read it before I started my blog up again). So when I heard that Ibi was writing a middle-grade book I was so here for it! For now, my summary will be generic however, in the near future I will have a full review of the book up on my reviews page.

Summary: **Since I have not read this book I have summarized the Goodreads and Amazon summary for this page so that you guys can have the most accurate ideas about the book!

Book Two: House of Salt and Sorrows

I have an ebook ARC copy of this book on my Kindle but due to all the craziness in life I have not gotten a chance to read it yet, however, I definitely plan to read this book soon! I have already ordered a copy and I can not wait to read this and explain the plot and characters.

40942619._SY475_I started seeing a few of my favorite booktubers talking about this book not that long ago, however, I thought it was coming out like way after August (I don’t know but for some reason, I was thinking it was coming out in like December). Then I saw that it was coming out in August and I was super excited and down to get a copy of this book to read and see what all the excitement is about!

Book Seven: #Murderfunding

40275151._SY475_So last summer I was fortunate enough to get the ARC of the first book in this series and I was totally gripped by it! My review is still up on my book reviews page. When I found out there was going to be a second book in this series I knew I had to read this book! I loved the first one so much, the plot and the characters stuck with me for long after I read the book and I kept thinking about things that could have happened. Flash forward to this summer I have been lucky enough to get an ARC of the second book! Book Nine: I’m Not Dying With You Tonight

43352274This is another book I have been super excited for! I saw the cover a long time ago on Netgalley and instantly wanted to know more about the book and was interested! So of course, from there I went and looked up more about the plot and the book itself and honestly it just made me want to read this book more. I think something that has drawn me so much to this book is the two different fonts on the cover and the two different girls which lead me to believe without even really knowing much about the book that it would have two perspectives and I am usually very into books with multiple perspectives.
