The Eight Must Reads of September 2018

Happy September!

I know we are a few days into the month and I am a little behind, I am super sorry! I have been sick and crazy busy reading and keeping up with work. However, let me say with the new releases coming out the next few months I will be super busy reading because OMG there are so many things I need to devour ASAP. So without further ado let’s jump right into the book goodness headed our way.

Book One: Wildcard

29386918I have been beyond excited for this book for way too long, basically ever since I read Warcross, I have needed this book in my life. I read and purchased Warcross right after it came out. We had a snow storm and my job was closed for nearly a week, so I got to spend that time with Warcross and other books. I was hooked on Warcross and I love the story, it was gripping and everything I could have asked for. I only hope that Wildcard will be just as good (also that if there is ever a movie that it does these books justice).

Summary: **Since I have not read this book I have summarized the Goodreads and Amazon summary for this page so that you guys can have the most accurate ideas about the book!

Book Two: Pride

35068632Not too long ago I read American Street which is also by Ibi Zoboi and I loved the story. Pride is another story by her that is unrelated to American Street but I am still over the moon excited to get my hands on this book. I do not know much about it yet, but I have heard that it is pride and prejudice retelling of sorts, which only makes me more excited to read it.

Book Six: Sadie

34810320This is a book I have been super fortunate to have been able to read already and let me tell you it’s amazing. I am currently reading Sadie for the third time and this is maybe one of my top ten favorite books of the year. I was sent an ARC about a month ago and ever since I have been absolutely in love with this story. This is a must pick up for every reader and its a book you will reread.

Summary: This book revolves around a girl named Sadie and her sister Mattie. Sadie and Mattie live in a trailer in a town called Cold Creek, their mom is gone and both of their dads are as well. So Sadie being the oldest is taking care of Mattie the younger sister with the help of May Beth a grandmother like figure to the girls. One day Mattie is found dead by the old school house which is on fire (so this gets rid of most of or any evidence of the murder of Mattie). Not long after Sadie leaves town, without telling anyone. West McCray a radio personality was in town when Mattie’s body was found and later when Sadie is missing May Beth calls his studio. West investigates Mattie and attempts to find Sadie before something bad happens to her.
